Installation and available images

EDIS lists AlmaLinux 9 and 8 templates. AlmaLinux 10 is available upstream, but was not present in the verified EDIS standard-image list.

  1. Choose a location and base VPS plan.
  2. Review the preselected OS version in checkout. You can later reinstall from the VPS image menu.
  3. Connect by SSH, apply updates and configure access, services and backups.

Application compatibility

Check the exact AlmaLinux major version supported by your software or control panel. Enterprise Linux compatibility does not guarantee every third-party package works unchanged.

Legacy CentOS migration

Use a supported AlmaLinux release as a migration candidate. Test repositories, configuration and restore procedures before moving a production service.

Long-lived servers

A long release lifecycle helps planning, but does not replace updates. Maintain packages, SELinux policy, access controls and application backups.

Questions before you choose

Which AlmaLinux versions does EDIS list?

The verified templates are AlmaLinux 9 and AlmaLinux 8. Use the checkout or reinstall menu for current availability.

Can it replace an old CentOS server?

It can be a candidate in the enterprise Linux ecosystem. Compatibility testing and a migration plan are still needed; this is not an automatic in-place migration service.

Are hosting control panels included?

No panel license or administration service is implied by the VPS price. Check your panel vendor’s supported OS and resource requirements.

Who manages the operating system?

EDIS operates the host infrastructure and platform. You administer the guest OS, software, firewall, updates, application security and backups. These are self-managed VPS plans.

Can I configure more RAM or storage?

The listed plans keep their original base specification and price. At checkout you can add up to 24 GB RAM and 400 GB drive capacity for an additional charge. Maximum totals are calculated from each plan’s included resources. An existing server needs a restart for RAM changes and filesystem expansion after a disk upgrade.
