Installation and available images

EDIS lists Rocky Linux 10 and 9 as standard templates. Image availability and the guest’s CPU requirements both matter when selecting a release.

  1. Choose a location and base VPS plan.
  2. Review the preselected OS version in checkout. You can later reinstall from the VPS image menu.
  3. Connect by SSH, apply updates and configure access, services and backups.

Prepare a Rocky Linux production server

Choose the compatible major release

Check application and control-panel support before choosing Rocky 9 or 10. Newer is not automatically the right version for an existing stack.

CPU requirements matter

Rocky 10 requires x86-64-v3 on x86 systems. Verify CPU features and passthrough settings for the chosen VPS before relying on the Rocky 10 image.

Maintain and recover

Keep the current minor release installed, test updates and maintain off-server backups. Plan major-version changes as migrations with a recovery path.

Which Rocky Linux templates are listed?

EDIS documents Rocky Linux 10 and Rocky Linux 9. Confirm your software and the host CPU meet the selected release’s requirements.

Can I run a hosting control panel?

Use a version and resource allocation supported by your panel vendor. Panel software, licenses and administration are separate from the base VPS.

Is Rocky Linux managed by EDIS?

You maintain the guest and its applications. EDIS provides the host infrastructure and VPS platform.

Can I configure more RAM or storage?

The listed plans keep their original base specification and price. At checkout you can add up to 24 GB RAM and 400 GB drive capacity for an additional charge. Maximum totals are calculated from each plan’s included resources. An existing server needs a restart for RAM changes and filesystem expansion after a disk upgrade.
