Windows VPS Hosting with RDP and Full Administrator Access

A Windows VPS is a KVM virtual machine running a supported Microsoft Windows image. You receive allocated CPU, RAM and storage resources plus full Administrator access. After Windows installation finishes, connect through RDP on port 3389.

Yes. Windows installations provide full Administrator access. You manage the operating system and applications yourself. EDIS Global support operates at the infrastructure level and does not log in to your VPS, install or configure software, or change settings inside Windows. Software use remains subject to its licence, system requirements and the EDIS Global Acceptable Use Policy.

Windows Server 2025, 2022 and 2019 evaluation images are available in the shopping cart and the VPS dashboard, each with a 180-day evaluation period. Windows 10 and Windows 11 evaluation images are available in the dashboard Auto-Install section, each with a 90-day evaluation period. You can also install a compatible custom ISO.

Yes. You can reinstall Windows or switch operating systems from the VPS dashboard. Reinstallation permanently erases all data, so create a backup first. CPU, RAM and storage can be upgraded without reinstalling Windows. Drive Size Boost adds up to 400 GB to the plan’s included storage. After activation, complete the required cold boot and extend the Windows partition to use the additional space. EDIS Global currently supports upgrades, not downgrades.

RDP is available after the Windows installation finishes and uses the standard TCP port 3389. Connect with Microsoft Remote Desktop, Windows App or another RDP-compatible client using the Administrator credentials you set.

No paid Windows licence is included. EDIS Global provides Microsoft evaluation installations: Windows Server 2025, 2022 and 2019 for 180 days, and Windows 10 and 11 dashboard images for 90 days. Provide and activate a valid licence for continued production use. Windows Server evaluation extensions are limited and must comply with Microsoft’s applicable evaluation terms.

EDIS Global does not add a Windows operating-system surcharge; the same VPS plan prices apply. Windows normally needs more resources than Linux. EDIS documentation describes 2 vCPU and 4 GB RAM as suitable only for very basic or minimal workloads and recommends 4 vCPU and 8 GB RAM or more for better stability and efficiency. A paid Windows licence is not included.

Choose 2 vCPU and 4 GB RAM only for a very basic Windows setup. For regular RDP use or multiple services, choose 4 vCPU and 8 GB RAM or more. Increase resources for SQL Server, trading applications and heavier workloads. EDIS Global VPS instances do not include GPU acceleration. Check the current plan table for exact specifications.

Inbound TCP port 25 is unrestricted. Outbound TCP port 25 is open and has a default rate limit of 8 packets per second with an initial burst of up to 16 packets on VPS instances created on or after February 24, 2025. Older VPS instances are not subject to this automatic default limit. The Acceptable Use Policy and anti-abuse controls apply to every VPS, and outbound port 25 may be blocked if credible evidence of unsolicited email is received.
